Outside My Window
The first real snow fall is outside my window.
And it's not so great because nobody shovels
the walks. Yup have to walk in other peoples
foot prints.
Sigh!!!!
And it has been rather noisy outside my window.
More fixing things right near my window, will
be nice when they are done.
You know pounding, drilling, scraping, and
sawing of wood. I do not mind the wood smell,
because I grew up in homes that were being
built and love the smell of fresh cut wood.
The sun is bright this AM, the sky a pale
blue. It's cold but going to be a nice day. Hope
that will not get ruined.
It is rather silent outside my window as far as
birds go. Most have left for the warm south for
the winter.
Yes winter is here. And things are starting to
get Holiday festive. Outside my window Christmas
lights are going up.
And this is Thanksgiving week...it is starting to
look like Christmas. Excitement is in the air.
People are decorating outdoor trees, or anything
that will hold Christmas lights.
I think that this is my most favorite time of the
year. People are more kind,faces smile and hearts
seem lighter.
Soon the smells of all thing sweet and wonderful
will fill the air. In some places bells will ring out
Christmas carols.
But there is a sadness too, as we miss those who
have gone out of our lives. Friends and family that
we no longer see or have lost.
Still we feel a hope this time of the year that is
not around for the rest of the time. It is that
special feeling that wonder that we never lose.
