Hope and Faith
The dark oppressive tunnel is just an illusion;
Looking closer I see soft autumnal colours –
Leaves that are the true make-up of the canopy
Above my head, bent in submission of acceptance;
Ahead the soft filters of sun rays expose slowly
To my world-weary vacantly resigned eyes
And I realise that I am about to enter the most
Beautiful, exotic garden I have ever seen …
The warmth of the gentle sun is welcoming and
The soft mellow sounds of bird-song fill the air …
Am I dreaming? Is this heaven? Have I died?
Or am I finally accepting that peace can be found
In the most unexpected of times and places
Along with a belief of what maybe yet to come …
And goes by the names of Hope and Faith

    Dear You,
You entered my life, I called you my diamond in the rough.
You showed me a heart that was broken so bad. Mine too
had been very hurt. My heart reached out to yours, in you
I saw someone that I could show true love. A love that never
fades or dies.
I had so much love to give and wanted to give it freely to
You. I wanted you to know that yes You could be loved.
I thought You were my missing puzzle piece a part of me
that know one else could ever fill.
You filled my heart and head with dreams of how our
life would be. You seemed to except me for me,loved me
as I was. You gave me hope of not being lonely as
we aged...that we would age together.
You were a phantom, just a dream, that was never to be.
I never got to share those dreams with you. Never got
to really hold you and be held.
You...you took those dreams and dashed them against the
rocks. You broke my heart to tiny pieces, to tiny to
ever repair.

Laying in puddles and on emerald green grass.
Mowing has not stopped yet, though we have
had more than one frosty night. And the
wind has been wild, blowing day and night.
Stripping leaves off the trees, flinging them
wildly through the air. But there are still enough
leaves clinging to trees to be pretty. Golds and
deep reds, dead browns, and warm orange.
As you walk down the sidewalk leaves cover the
way ahead. Tiny yellow leaves make the way look
bathed in sunshine.
The sky is covered with a blanket of gray
clouds, the sun hiding away. Only to sent out
watery rays and then to hide again. Patches
of blue set me to smiling. And are gone once more.
But today felt  more like spring. If the flowers
were not mostly gone. And leaves still colorful.

This morning outside my window the grass was stiff and
white with frost. The first of the season. The air crisp
and cold, made me think of bitting into a fresh apple.
Teeth sinking into crisp white flesh, juice running off your
chin. I love to go apple picking and the apples are so sweet
after the frost has touched them. I remember picking
apples up from the ground after the first snow fall one
year, those were the best apples I ever tasted.
Things were rather quiet outside my window today.
Or maybe I was just too tired to notice. There was a
breeze fresh and sweet and cold...no not burrr...but
to me so very refreshing.
Seems to me there are less birds singing outside my

It is a beautiful rainy Fall night. Just the right
kind for staying in doors with a good book or a
movie.
As it gets later the building has become very
quiet. I think most of the neightborhood is
sleeping. Most windows are dark, only a few have
dim lights.
Earlier as we were coming home, we were met
by 4 year olds with Halloween costumes on.
They were so excited, a little Iron Man and a
little bit bigger Spiderman.
Lots of leaves now carpet the wet lawns. But
many are still green. Because the weather has
not been Fall like at all. more like late Summer.
But today it was only 58 outside my window.
Mmmmm, love the breeze coming in my still open

the fact that I can get out my sweaters.

My balcony is strewn with leaves driven there

Now it is cozy to sit by my window with
rivers of rain running down it. I am content to
sit with a book and some hot chocolate, as
the rain pours down.
There are sounds of construction still as a new

building so there are sounds of remodeling, right
outside my window.
A crash startles me as someone throws something
in the trash dumpster and if I peek sideways I can

those who moved out this last weekend.

I could hear the rain drops falling and water
splashing on the porch roof and cool damp
air being brought in by the fan.
Outside my window the grass is lush and
green and soaked with rain water, and the sky
is a deep gray, as rain continues to patter
down.
I lay there and listen, cozy and warm beneath
a blanket and stress melts away. As gray
light creeps in a soothing way into my room.
And another day begins.
I can not resist peeking out the window when
I get up. The sky is a light gray now. And it
has stopped raining. The air is damp and cool.
The power line outside my window has drops of

Instead I am stuck inside my window. With a very
painful stubbed toe. So as I look outside my window
I am wishing I could go for a walk.
Outside my window the loud crashing noises mean a

as one of our neighbors has moved out.
Shadows are falling as the afternoon slips away.
Sometimes you can hear the voices of Seniors as,

I bet they are thinking of winter because the last

And they have had to remain inside because of the

Spring
Spring
Spring, spring wonderful spring,
Much warmer air, is on the way.
The wind blow hard to melt the
crusty snow, ugly now and dirty.
Winter wonderland is but a dream,
and the ragged brown snow melts.
The rain pelts dpwn day and night,
soon the brown grass will turn.
A bright green,trees with swollen
buds will dance in the warm winds
of spring.
Up through the hard packed earth,
come sweet green leaves, followed
by bright flowers.
Ahh...beautiful Spring!
But there is a down side too, as
rain falls day after day.
There are puddles deep every where,
shoes get soaked and we think,
the sky is never going to stop weeping.
Then the sun breaks through, drying
up the puddles and mud.
The sky turns bright and blue, the
sun warms the earth once again.
And we start to forget the winter
just passed,
Flowers dance every where, the grass
become emerald green.
Soon the cold winds of winter will be
forgotten,
As the warm breath of spring heats
the chilly air,
Wet and damp may the first days be,

As I look through pictures on line I run into

I loved my man, The one who left me.
And every time it happens I feel a letdown,
in the heart of me, my soul feels empty.
I spend hours expressing my love for him
through pictures and poems that the
pictures inspired.
Oh how I wish that love could have been true.
But it wasn't it was a hollow shell. With
nothing inside but lies and made up stories.
Will I ever be over it, this love that I invested
so much time , so much of me in. Will I
ever feel whole again. It has been 2 years

pictures pop up.
Romance will never be the same for me

I know the cracks that still remain will never fully

threw it back in my face...yes I was really
in love with you.
But now I can never trust you or romance
again. Can never open my heart again.
For fear that it would undo me.
I have learned to be alone at night. And I find
I love the alone time. I spend more time with
my Bible and pray more.
I have even eaten out alone and it was good.
There is no one to hurt me when I am alone.
I can do as I please, eat and sleep when I  want.
And I do not have to share my bed or covers.
I am starting to find happiness in being single.
And am starting to love living alone, you
don't know how freeing it can be until it
happens and you have to get used to it.
Also for the first time in years I spent money on me.
I bought clothes and no longer have the fear
of them just falling apart.
Sometimes now I wonder why we let people into
our lives. Give so much and end up with nothing
but can still find happiness in nothing but
yourself and the world around you.
No nothing is perfect but there are much more hurtful
things than being alone...Merry Christmas!

in some hearts and homes.
Christmas is a mixed bag now of ideals and beliefs,
But some like me still cling to the truth of
the Christ Child.

I think that this is my most favorite time of the
year. People are more kind, faces smile and hearts
seem lighter.
Soon the smells of all thing sweet and wonderful

Christmas carols.
But there is a sadness too, as we miss those who
have gone out of our lives. Friends and family that
we no longer see or have lost.
Still we feel a hope this time of the year that is
not around for the rest of the time. It is that
special feeling that wonder that we never lose.
Happy Thansgiving to you all...God Bless!
